Here is a collection of the Top10 most entertaining, awe inspiring, adventurous activities to do in and around Dominical, Costa Rica. I receive many emails from people travelling to the area in the near future and asking what kind of activites does the Southern Zone have to offer to families, the elderly or young adults. So here is my collection of the Top10 must do/see. I hope you enjoy them and if you happen to come visit them, please come back to SellingCR and give us the feedback of your trip.

The Dominical surf. This famous beach break is known throughout the country for it's reliable, constant great surf, day in and day out. You can always count on Dominical for great surf conditions.

Nauyaca Waterfalls. A majestic jungle waterfall in the heart of Platanillo, a 5min drive from Dominical. One of the falls is forty-five meters high in free fall and the other, twenty meters high with a tiered fall, forming at the bottom a 1,000 square meter and six meter deep pool. There are also other smaller natural pools where visitors can seize the opportunity and enjoy the waters with their families or friends.

Hacienda Baru. A biological reserve 2km down the Quepos highway. This attraction is great for families or group outings. Hacienda Baru offers ziplines, jungle tours and horseback riding amongst other jungle activities.

Cano Island. The island has been rated by Skin Diver magazine as among the best in the world and is one of the world's newest hot spots for adventure diving. Located off the coast of the Osa Peninsula, this virgin area offers a variety of unique diving attractions, from 15' - 16' reefs to 80' "walls". The rock formations are volcanic origins; sea fans, cup coral, head corals are the most common. Because of its status as a Biological Reserve the diving in Cano Island is regulated.

Corcovado National Park. Covering an area of 104,900 acres, Corcovado National Park is a up and coming hotspot for adventure seekers and eco-tourism. A virtually uninterrupted sandy beach extends for 20 km, with cliffs and pocket beaches at the northern and southern park headlands; there is a marine cave near the southern point.

Diamante Waterfall (Santo Cristo) Accredited with being Costa Rica's tallest waterfall, this majestic giant pours gracefully like a bridal from the water source, a giant mountain cave at the top of 900' vertical drop. This is certainly for the adventurous types and if so inclined you can even take a 2 day tour to the top where you spend the night in a cave and in the morning you rappel from cave back to the jungle floors below.

Roca Verde Disco Every Saturday night at Roca Verde outside Dominical 1km, this otherwise quiet hotel/restaurant, goes off the wall! Saturday night this place turns in to a disco on the beach. Located right on it's own private beach, this place is a sight not to be missed for young adults visiting the area.

San Clemente Bar & Grill The night for San Clemente's is Friday nights. Located in the centre of Dominical on Main St. this Mexican style bar is a fantastic place for dancing and partying. Be sure to request the "bus" seating for groups of five or more.

Marino Ballena National Park About a 15min drive from Dominical, this national park is a great place for families to enjoy a day at one of the many beaches or adventuring around the areas many other sights including sport fishing, whale watching, sea kayaking or diving.

Playa Ventanas Now this is a must see beach. The beach has a few 'tidal caves' that during low tide, make for some interesting sights. The beach itself sits in an alcove style bay lined with palm tree and surrounding by high rising mountains. Be sure to time your visit here to coincide with low tide or you will miss the opportunity to enter the caves or swim in them.
