With summer drawing near I'm starting to see more and more work being done on the roads and also with the damages caused by hurricane Alma. Finally we are starting to see some progress before the tourist season starts. I have to give them credit though. There is a ton of work to be done repairing roads, houses, and entire communities from the destructive force of Alma back in May. We are currently still experience rain almost daily but it's nothing really. Especially considering we are 'officially' still in rainy season.

I know it's only still November, however the christmas tree has been erected already and is decorated to the hilt. I have to admit that it's strange to have X-mas without the snow but the transition from Victoria, BC, Canada to Costa Rica helped in that regard. Victoria doesn't get snow for X-mas either contrary to popular belief so another green christmas is pretty much the norm for me. Only this year christmas is going to be celebrated heavily here in CR with my family and friends which should be a nice change from what I am use to. Christmas decorations start to go up around Perez Zeledon usually fairly early. Sometimes in October. Come December the lights around town are incredible. Especially coming in to town from Dominical whereas there are lights strung across the road like a canopy. And although it's normal for me and many other expats, turkey dinner is not normal in Costa Rica on christmas. Ticos normally enjoy tamales or cerdo(pork) for christmas dinner which also happens here in Costa Rica on the 24th instead of Christmas Day.

Before I sign off on this post I would however like to thank the many people writing me expressing their gratitude for SellingCR and compliments on the design and structure. I appreciate the compliments and to be honest...that's what keeps me motivated and strive to be the best site for Costa Rica. At least we all know now how candid I can be by now. Hey, maybe that's what people like best? Either that or the fantastic design work I do...hahahaha...

PS: A shout out to my pal in Canada...CONGRATS ON THE NEW BABY BOY B.C.!!!! Couldn't be happier for you and soon enough I'll have one of my own to share in the joy/experience. Pura Vida!
