Celebrity wedding in Dominical

On Friday, June 19th on the beach at Villas Rio Mar in Dominical, Costa Rica, US Olympic snowboarder Gretchen Bleiler married Chris Hotell, manager of Team Oakley Snowboarding, her boyfriend of the past five years.

Bleiler and Hotell were in town for almost a week leading up to their wedding day, where they enjoyed the sand and surf with guests including many of their fellow USA Snowboard friends and family. They chose Dominical for its sentimental value - since they began dating, they headed to the beaches of Dominical to unwind at the end of every snowboard season.

On the big day Bleiler, wearing a strapless wedding gown, rode up to the ceremony on horseback, suprising her guests and even her groom! The couple took ballroom dancing lessons for their first dance at the reception, but threw all training out the window as the night wore on, continuing to tear up the dance floor with their guests.

Hotell proposed to Bleiler in summer 2008. The couple returned home shortly after their wedding but within 48 hours they had left for their honeymoon in the Maldives.
