Party Turns As Owner of Home Murdered
What started as a crazy party night, alcohol and disorder among a group of friends, ended with the tragic and strange death of a professor of computer science identified by authorities as Donald Rodriguez Vega.
The man aged 44 was killed with a knife embedded in his neck, after being the victim of an assault in his own home, committed by fellow party attendees.
The fatal incident occurred in the San Jose, located in the center of San Ramón de Alajuela, near the College Patriarch.
“The brother of the victim called the police, the man said, he had found his brother dead, he indicated that he had problems with diabetes but on arriving at the scene corroborated with the Red Cross that he had a stab wound the neck.
When the body was found, the Red Cross had already presumed the man dead several hours earlier, “said Jose Villalobos, police chief of San Ramon.
Authorities began the search for his murderer, and found significant evidence that can help streamline the process.
As part of the preliminary report, the police know that the previous night, the victim had a big party at his home. Only know they shared drinks with friends and tabacco.
Neighbors did not identify these people, but officials have descriptions of those who were involved with this fatal crime.
One of the evidence that police found in his house was many chingas cigarettes (marijuana) lying on the floor, however, the family said the victim was not in the habit of smoking.
He also had served with drinks several glasses of liquor on a table, which seems to suggest to authorities they remained “friendly” even up until his death.
Judicial police handling the case as an assault, because the house was very messy, the belongings of the deceased were all part of the house and he had two computers and an iphone, everything stolen exceeded the sum of 1.5 million colones (¢ 1,500,000).
