Perez Zeledon took a well deserved victory against Saprissa, a brave and good game, a top face to face between two very skilled teams.

Saprissa was submitted by Perez early on and given it’s not easy for any team to enter their building, PZ really shined today.

PZ went up 2-0 in the first 20 minutes and silenced the normally vocal Saprissa fans.

Goals from Hector Sanabria (11 ‘) and Kenneth Garcia (17′) were two slaps that left at Saprissismo seeing stars.

With the 0-2, Saprissa stumbled and their reaction was more emotional than rational, which is why they were wrong and were hasty in making decisions.

Juan Diego Monge-mastermind of the second goal barely missed making it 3-0 on numerous occasions.

By then, the bruises were already behind on the scoreboard by a single goal thanks to Alejandro Castro (37 ‘).

When they came off, Saprissa had already assimilated the contrasts and recomposed their minds.

The draw (60 ‘) came with a free kick by the right leg educated Pate Walter Centeno.

With 30 minutes remaining and the pushing Cueva Perez withstood the onslaught and Saprissa did not give the final blow … the ones who did give the visitors.

Monge scored at 83 ‘and left the stunned Saprissa and PZ with the feeling that their leadership received a vote of confidence.

Winning at the Monster always leaves a special taste, especially if the party is face to face and you know that this is not an everyday thing.
