Street Vendors Still A Problem
Nearly 3,500 vendors offer clothing, material, fruits, vegetables, food and games in the streets of San Jose.
Marcelo Solano, director of the Municipal Police of San Jose, said that most work on the boulevards of the avenues 2 and 4 as well as nearby Central Market, Bourbon and Coke.
Another place where these people are illegally selling products are the hospitals and surrounding intersections.
Solano insisted, that the lack of police presence prevented completely halting the activity.
