Four Tico surfers will participate in the third round of the Latin Tour, which begins today at Montanita Beach in Ecuador.

Anthony Fillingim, Noé Mar McGonagle, Jason Torres and Jairo Perez will represent the country in a new day of the tournament popularly known as ALAS (an acronym for the Latin American Surfing Association).

The first of them, who was eighth in the Open division of the circuit in 2011, is planted in the third round, while his compatriots do need to fight from the start.

The competition opens today and will end on February 5.

“It will be a higher level dates. The premises are surfing amazing. I know that I have the surf, but I have to prove it. I am confident and hope to continue improving, ” he said in an interview.

For his part, McGonagle, only 15 years, spoke a few days ago with the Costa Rica news and said that one of his objectives was to participate as much abroad as possible.

“It is logical that this is the best surfers out there. That’s what I want. Let’s see how it goes in Ecuador, “he said.

McGonagle left yesterday, after attending the weekend at the Red Bull Blast from the Past, in Playa Hermosa in Puntarenas.
