Googe Invites Ticos To Virtual Science Fair
Internet giant Google invited Costa Rican youth to participate in the next edition of the online science fair.
According to a press release, students from 13 to 18 years can participate, individually or in teams of three people.
The idea is for students to formulate a question, develop a hypothesis and conduct scientific experiments to prove it.
“The whole process is detailed and sent via a template for participants in our website (www.google.com / sciencefair), so all you need to participate is curiosity, an Internet connection and a web browser” Google said .
The initiative, called Google Science Fair, also collaborate institutions as CERN, The LEGO Group, National Geographic and Scientific American.
Google will be giving recognition to 90 regional finalists (30 American, 30 Asian-Pacific and 30 in Europe / Middle East / Africa). Of these 90, who will be announced in May, the top 15 finalists will travel to the Google headquarters in Mountain View (California, USA.) To the final event of the Science Fair, on July 23, 2012 .
