A car used for official purposes by the mayor of Alajuela, Robert Thompson, was stolen yesterday while it was in the City Council meeting.

The incident occurred between 6 p. m. and 9 p. m., when the vehicle was parked outside the municipality building.

“When we got out, around 9 p. m., my driver realized that the car was not there. He argues that parked it next to the building “said the mayor.

The stolen car is a pick-up, Mitsubishi, gray.

The Judicial Investigation Organization is investigating the case.
