Costa Rica Real Estate Mega Project Moves Ahead In 2012
2012 is looking positive for the Costa Rica real estate mega development project in Playa Matapalo in Costa Rica’s Southern Zone.
After years of uncertain market conditions, permitting and a plethora of other hurdles, Hacienda Matapalo is set to go vertical in 2012.
It was reported that the project sold over $60m in pre-sales of which were secured by world renown real estate securities closing giant, Stewart Title. Now, after years of preparation, investors in the Costa Rica real estate development, can begin to secure titles for their Costa Rica property and even begin construction given earlier this year, Hacienda Matapalo invested millions in infrastructure inside the project including an elaborate front entrance to give visitors their first taste of what’s to come.
Today, January 6, 2012, marks a day many of Hacienda Matapalo’s investors will remember. For it was today that they announced the strategic alliance with Island Resorts Trust LLC – a Florida based company that has more than 45 years in construction and over $500 million developing projects throughout the US and Caribbean.
“This is a great and important step for us and our owners.” said Pegasus Star Ltda. Chief Executive Officer David Matluck, whose company is developing the 665-acre master planned gated community, located between Quepos and Dominical on the Costanera Highway.
David Matlock went on to say, “This alliance allows Hacienda Matapalo to be developed and actually built. We are going vertical with an experienced development team, which in Costa Rica is not an easy thing to do.”
