Two Arrest Made Associated with Jewelry Robbery in La Fortuna
Two unarmed subjects who pretended to be interested in buying a Christmas gift, robbed yesterday, at noon, the jewelry Morera, located in the center of La Fortuna de San Carlos.
At the time of the robbery, Steven Sancho, son of the owner, was alone in the establishment.
While one of the subjects was making questions to Sancho, the other took a tray with 25 jewels and ran. Value estimated at ¢ 2 million.
Few minutes after the robbery, Sancho arrested a minor near the business and handed it to the security forces.
Officers later arrested a second suspect, an adult surnamed Cajina, a resident of Desamparados, San Jose.
To this individual was confiscated one of the gold jewelry reported stolen.
Both suspects were at the order of the Public Ministry to determine if they committed the robbery.
